Selling on Brechó is free. You set your price and receive it in full — there is no seller commission and no platform fee deducted from your payout.
- Seller commission: Free (0%)
- Buyer Protection fee: 5% of the item price, minimum EUR 0.50 per item — paid by the buyer, never deducted from your payout
- You receive: 100% of the price you set
The Buyer Protection fee is paid by the buyer and funds secure payments and dispute resolution. Payment processing (card via AS LHV Pank / Every Pay; other methods via Stripe) is included in the buyer's total and is never charged to you.
Example for an EUR 100.00 item:
- You set the price: EUR 100.00
- The buyer pays: EUR 105.00 (EUR 100.00 + EUR 5.00 Buyer Protection), plus shipping
- You receive: EUR 100.00
Payout timing and any reserves held are described in the sections below.
- Sales from 1st to 15th of month: Payout on the 1st of following month
- Sales from 16th to 31st of month: Payout on the 15th of following month
- Average hold period: approximately 15 days
| Seller Stage | Reserve |
|---|---|
| New (0-30 days) | 15% |
| Establishing (30-90 days) | 10% |
| Established (90+ days) | 0% |
| High Risk (>2% chargebacks) | 20% |
Depending on seller's activity time and history:
- New seller (0-30 days): 15% reserve, released after 30 days
- Establishing seller (30-90 days): 10% reserve, continuous release
- Established seller (90+ days): 0% reserve, immediate release
- High risk (>2% chargebacks): 20% reserve until normalization
- Active dispute: 100% of disputed amount held until resolution
Reserves and held funds also secure the Platform against fault-based chargebacks, refunds, and card-scheme or acquirer fines, and may be applied to recover those amounts from the Seller (see Seller Terms of Service, Section 8.1).
The approximately 15-day hold period is necessary for:
1. Chargeback Prevention: Disputes can occur up to 180 days after purchase
2. Fraud Detection: The platform monitors suspicious patterns
3. Regulatory Compliance: Compliance with EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and anti-money laundering regulations
4. Dispute Resolution: Time needed for evidence collection
5. Loss Recovery: Securing the platform against fault-based chargebacks, refunds, and card-scheme or acquirer fines, which may be set off against the seller's reserve or payouts
