Frequently Asked Questions

Which carriers are available?
Melhor Envio integrates with Correios, Jadlog, Loggi, and more. Available carriers depend on your location and package size.
Do I need a Melhor Envio account?
Yes — connect your Melhor Envio account in Settings. The OAuth setup takes about a minute.
How do I track delivery status for buyers of my secondhand items?
Once you generate a shipping label through Melhor Envio, tracking updates automatically in your order dashboard. Buyers receive tracking updates via email so they can follow their secondhand purchase in real time. For lost or damaged shipments, open a claim through Melhor Envio within the declared value window — no need to contact the carrier directly.
Can I use a carrier other than Melhor Envio?
Yes. Melhor Envio is optional. If you use Correios directly, a local courier, or hand-deliver locally, record the shipment manually in brecho.me and enter the tracking number from your own carrier. The tracking number appears in your order dashboard and can be shared with the buyer via WhatsApp from the order detail page. Manual tracking works alongside or instead of the Melhor Envio integration.
How do I generate a shipping label for a completed order?
Open any paid order from your order dashboard and click Create shipment. Enter the package dimensions and weight, compare rates from available carriers, select your preferred option, and confirm — Melhor Envio generates the label instantly. Print or save the PDF, then drop the package at the designated carrier location. The tracking number is added to the order automatically and can be shared with the buyer via WhatsApp.
Can I ship secondhand orders internationally from Brazil?
Yes. Melhor Envio supports international shipping from Brazil via Correios (EMS and PAC Internacional) and partner carriers. When creating a shipment, select international as the destination type and enter the buyer's country to compare international rates. Customs documentation is required for packages leaving Brazil — Melhor Envio guides you through the export declaration form. Delivery times and rates depend on destination country, package size, and declared value. International tracking is available through the same link you share with your buyer after dispatch.
What should I do if a buyer's package is lost or damaged during delivery?
If a shipment generated through Melhor Envio is lost or damaged, file a claim directly through your Melhor Envio dashboard within the declared value window — coverage depends on the carrier and declared value you selected when creating the label. For items shipped manually without Melhor Envio, contact the carrier directly with your tracking number and proof of shipment. On the brecho.me marketplace, escrow funds remain held during active disputes — contact brecho.me support to open a case and the platform mediates between you and the buyer.
How do I include shipping cost in my item price so the buyer covers it?
Two approaches work in brecho.me. The first: add an estimated shipping cost to your item's asking price before listing — when the buyer pays, you cover shipping from the total received. The second: for marketplace sales, brecho.me calculates shipping rates through Melhor Envio at checkout and adds the carrier rate to the item price automatically — buyers see the full total before paying. Either way, set accurate package weight and dimensions when creating a shipment to ensure rate calculations are correct. Every sale records the full breakdown of item cost, shipping, and profit.
How do I reduce shipping costs to improve profit margin on each item?
Compare carrier rates in Melhor Envio when creating each shipment — rates vary by carrier, route, and package size. Pack items as light and compact as possible: remove original boxes, use recycled packaging, and weigh accurately before submitting. For Brazilian buyers, Correios PAC is often the most affordable option for standard parcels. For international orders, compare EMS vs PAC Internacional — EMS is faster but PAC is typically cheaper for non-urgent deliveries. Use brecho.me's Analyze view to track shipping cost as a percentage of each sale and reprice items where shipping erodes your margin. Some sellers include estimated shipping in the item price and offer free shipping on marketplace listings, which can improve conversion rate.
How do I offer buyers a choice of shipping methods at marketplace checkout?
When Melhor Envio is connected, brecho.me shows available carrier options at checkout based on your item's weight and the buyer's postcode. Buyers choose from Correios PAC (economy), SEDEX (express), Jadlog, and other active carriers — each with rate and estimated delivery time shown. Set accurate weight and dimensions on each product listing to ensure rate calculations are correct. If you prefer to offer a single fixed shipping option, select one carrier and rate when creating the listing. Multiple carrier options at checkout typically improve conversion because buyers can select the speed and price that fits their needs.
What packaging materials do I need for shipping secondhand fashion items safely?
For most secondhand clothing, a poly mailer bag is enough — lightweight, waterproof, and compact. Use biodegradable poly mailers when possible. For delicate items such as silk, wool, or structured jackets, wrap in tissue paper first and use a cardboard box to protect the shape. Include your order number on a slip inside in case the label gets damaged. Shoes ship best in their original box or a snug-fitting cardboard box with bubble wrap around the heels. Accessories and jewelry go in a small padded envelope. Weight matters for shipping costs: remove original product boxes and hangers, fold flat, and seal tightly. Accurate weight and dimensions entered in brecho.me ensure Melhor Envio's rate calculations match your actual parcel, keeping costs and margin records correct.
How should I package items for parcel-locker delivery in Europe (DPD)?
Use a sturdy outer box or padded mailer — the product's original box is not transport packaging, so pack it inside another one. Fill every gap with padding so the item cannot move, and keep it away from the outer walls; wrap delicate fabrics such as silk or structured pieces in tissue first. If you reuse a box, remove or cover every old label and barcode. Your parcel must fit the locker size the buyer paid for — at most 31.5 kg, longest side up to 175 cm. A parcel that is too big is rejected at the machine, so check the size shown on your order page before you go. Well-packed parcels also protect you: carriers deny damage claims when the packaging was insufficient.
What happens if the buyer never collects the parcel from the locker?
The parcel comes back to you. When the pickup window runs out (or a delivery fails), the carrier sends it back to a parcel machine near you — your sale page shows a "Coming back" alert and we email you as soon as the return starts. Collect the parcel at the machine, and the item is yours to relist. Your money stays protected: the payout for that sale is paused, and the buyer's payment is never released to anyone while the parcel is on its way back.
How do I add declared value or shipping insurance to protect a high-value secondhand item in transit?
When creating a shipment through Melhor Envio, the label creation flow includes a declared value field — enter the item's sale price as the declared value. Melhor Envio adds the appropriate insurance automatically based on the declared amount and carrier. Coverage depends on the carrier: Correios covers up to the declared value for lost or damaged parcels; Jadlog and Loggi have their own coverage tiers. The insurance cost is small relative to the item value and is added to the label price at the rate comparison step before you confirm. For high-value secondhand items — vintage designer pieces, luxury handbags, or collectibles — always declare the full sale price rather than a lower figure, as claims are settled based on the declared amount. Keep your Melhor Envio dispatch receipt after sending — it is the proof-of-shipment document required to open a claim if the parcel is lost or damaged in transit.
Can I schedule a parcel pickup at my address with Correios or Jadlog instead of going to the post office?
Not through brecho.me today. The app creates the shipping label; handing the parcel to the carrier is a drop-off flow — take it to the nearest drop-off point, locker, or agência, and tracking activates from the label as usual. If a carrier offers home pickup for your address, you can arrange that directly with the carrier (or in your own Melhor Envio account) outside the app, using the same label brecho.me generated — the label does not care how the parcel enters the network. For sellers dispatching several orders at once, batching the drop-off works well: generate all labels first, then hand the parcels over in one trip. Tracking numbers behave identically either way.
